FAQ

  • Where can I see you?

We provide therapeutic services to clients physically located in Texas. The practice is entirely virtual and hosted via our portal, Simple Practice.

  • Do you offer reduced fee sessions?

Yes we do! However we only offer 4 reduced fee spots and they are offered on a first come first served basis dependent on financial need. Please reach out to see if we have any openings available for reduced fee sessions and to know if you qualify.

  • What is your availability?

Our availability changes quite frequently! We offer set weekly spots to clients, which means that if you book a session on a certain day and time, that will be your spot going forward. The business practice hours are listed below, and the sessions are held during our business hours.

  • Can we talk before I schedule a session?

Yes! In fact, before we take any clients on we require a consultation call. This is so that we can become familiar with each other and check to see if we are a good match! It is important that the therapist believe that their clinical skills are a good match for what you are looking for, and that you feel like you can trust (and vibe) with your therapist!

  • Do you take insurance?

I am not currently in network with insurances. This might change in the future, and if it does the website will be updated. I am an OON (out of network) provider and I partner with Thrizer to submit superbills to your insurance for a potential partial reimbursement of your session fee if you have out of network benefits and are a full fee paying client. This is an optional resource; you do not have to sign up for Thrizer. To learn more about the service and the fees, you can check Thrizer's website or we can discuss this in our consultation call. Please note I am unable to accept Medicare, Tricare and Medicaid clients at this time. Superbills are provided if requested for full fee paying clients.

  • What do the sessions look like?

In our first session, your therapist will get to know more about you as they do your intake. You and your therapist collaborate to figure out what your goals are in therapy and how to achieve them. Our practice is trauma informed; this looks like starting therapy with more skills-based therapies (like DBT, ACT, etc) as you learn not only about trauma and its impact in the body and mind, but also how to live a life you are happy with. Your therapist might also incorporate other modalities to make the space safe and healing for you. Then when you feel like you are ready to do trauma work, you will get to learn more about the two trauma treatment modalities we use: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy). You get to choose the one you believe would benefit you the most!

Good Faith Estimate

You can find our pricing for therapy on this website.

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage,  both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

The Good Faith Estimate will contain the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. The Good Faith Estimate will be sent with your intake documents to be viewed and signed at least 1 business day prior to your scheduled appointment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
